Maturity

Sat, 06/14/2014 - 00:20 -- AJay

Childish days begin to fade

As everything begins to change

And I cannot remain the same

My friends are becoming so strange

Obsessed with proving they're mature

And letting their youth estrange

I'm already imagining things that are impure

Talking and fantasizing about the male race

And other things that are "immature"

Health and biology push innocence further away

By talking about vaginas and penises

And how they are used to procreate

Now dirty jokes and sexual stuff seem to be my weakness

When people talk about them, I laugh and laugh

It seems my efforts have been defeated

I wish I was a kid again when life was a blast

But now all this Mother Nature crap

Concinced me that my innocence is in the trash.
