This is ME!

I hide, putting that bright smille on my face.

But no one really knows.

I'm stuck in this brace.

When I look in the mirror what to I see?

I thought I saw a failure.

Is that really me?

Im stuck in this brace, I just can't see it.

It's plastered, and put on so tight.

But now I know, I have to fight through it.

I'm who I am, and who I can be.

The brace is almost off,

you'll see the real me.

We all hide.

Even though, we never admit it.

We do everything we can to protect our pride.

We're all stuck in this brace.

Molded to what society thinks we should be.

But who are we really, behind the fake face?

We're scared, our bellies too big.

Maybe our ears, twice the size of our peers.

Or our hair's not enough, so we put on a wig.

I now know, I won't be fake!

All you have to do is take off that filter.

'Cause this is me, the real Halle Drake.

This is me,

I'm out of my brace.

You do the same, and you will see.

Even for you, with a different streak.

Just have no filter, then you will know.

For it's our differences that make us unique

So even for you that might not get A's

Or that just might not fit.

Even those with noses that go on for days.

With no filter you will finally see,

the truth that's been there the whole time.

Now, find your destiny.
