Measure by Numbers

Numbers and sizes

do not

can not define you.

They could never show a beautiful

heart, soul, or mind.

Stretch marks, acne, or birthmarks

can’t show

the type of person you are.

Don’t let anyone tell you

that they are better

because their numbers

are lower,

busts bigger,

or waists smaller.

Never

stand for it.

Fight back.

Be strong.

Show off that

just because

your pant size is

in the double digits,

that your

breasts may not be

“big enough”,

that you are better

than them

and their

slow-minded,

shallow-hearted,

ignorant ways.

You,

with your kind heart

and love of all things food;

You,

with your small waist

and acne scars;

You,

with your self-tolerance

and open mind;

Can

Rise

Up,

and say “EFF YOU!”

to numbers

and the society

that defines personal worth

by their size and appearance.
