Mentored by Failure

You weren’t there when I needed you.

Your selfish ways were rude.

Your priorities were skewed.

You manipulated me for your gain,

And you cared nothing about my pain.

But in your absence, I found my assets.

In your failure I found my foundation.

So, thank you.

Thank you.

Thank you for pushing me away from you.

Thank you for choosing her over me.

Thank you for making it impossible for me to love you.

Without you failing as a father, I wouldn’t have been able to find my true Father.

The One who truly loves me.

The One who doesn’t use me.

The One who doesn’t guilt me.

And the One who loves me more than He loves Himself.

Me
My family
