A midnight rhyme.

Midnight Rhyme

By: Anyssa Q.

If it is charm you seek, within me it will not be found.

If it is a harbor which you search, here your ship will not be sound.

If you long for a quiet brook, here will you find a stream….

One that bends and curves and flips and pries then shivers at the seams.

If you wander for quiet hills, that echo with the months,

Or sappy meadows with balmy breeze and trees that shimmer in the sun,

If your heart is longing for some sort of belonging

Out within the wide,

Know that if you seek a companion within me one you’ll surely find.
