Midnight sky

Your light shines bright,

It guides me through the night,

It allows me to see through the depth of the darkness,

And casts deep shadows across the ground from the trees,

Frogs and crickets shout with glee,

As I stand beneath your shimmering light.

Listening to the things alive,

Wondering how the worlds so live,

In the depth of night when no one's out,

Why not in the light,

For all the world to hear.

The midnight sky so dark and bright,

With small lights called stars,

Giving off an eerie glow,

Down to earth below.
