Mind Your Mind

Location

Dark...

Where am I? Hello?

Light...

Blinding as the sun, wonderful, amazing, magical!

The mind is a mysterious place.

It can be your haven or hell,

But can you tell which is which?

Trees of lush green and flowers of silver and gold canopy this strange world.

Bunnies hop

To the rhythm of the dancing

Dew

Drops.

Unicorns prance with majestic royalty.

Magic and dreams all lie here hoping to be ignited by a single spark.

It’s perfect! Too perfect! Absolutely impossible!

Yes,

Impossible.

This can’t be real. It’s all just a façade for the true essence of external imagination. No, I must break free from this place of unjustifiable love. There is no love here. None

I must break free before the midnight hour has passed, before the horses transform into rats and the coach becomes only but a pumpkin.

The walls must crumble before this beast reveals its true form.

Tick, tock, tick, time is running faster than the speed of light never taking just a moment

To rest.

Crash, boom, I bang against these walls of endless oppression. The chains of 10,000 soulless creatures pin me to the ground.

I am done.

There is no light at the end of this tunnel.

I can just barely see the taunting shadows.

Tick, tock, tick, tock the clock breathes breathlessly.

No, I must break free, these walls and chains can’t hold me back.

BANG. BOOM. CRASH.

Shatter...

The Berlin Wall crumbles to the ground leaving only the dust of forgotten dreams.

The overwhelming brightness,

It’s too much for my innocent eyes, but what else is there?

Something stronger than the force the moon has over the changing tides.

Something that causes my stomach to toss and turn on an endless merry-go-round.

Warmth from a tender flame?

Life?

It is love. True improbable love.

Oh! How wonderful, amazing, absolutely....

Impossible.

No, it can’t be!

Will these chains never let go of their powerful grip?

Back and forth, back and forth I rock in my own little corner of insolvable reality.

Back, forth, tick, tock, tick, tock, tick...

Dong!

Dong!

Dong!

Walls of ever plain white burrow their judgmental glares deep within my lifeless soul.

1...

2...

3.... Counting the scars of my dominating pain.

Nurse?

I just wanna go back,

But no

I’m already there.

After all...

It is my imagination.
