In the Mirror

Nineteen years have already passed me by,

I faced obstacles the whole way through.

Kept trying to trust, after that goodbye.

Kept trying to... I kept trying to.

Instead of succumbing to the pain,

Determination brewed within.

Etches engraved on my soul remain.

New paths have opened, down which I’ll begin.

Looking back at my reflection,

I see a woman denuded.

Not willing to lose to imperfection,

Greatness I’ll strive for, that I’ve concluded.

Emotional... Deep... Optimistic…

Reflective... Passionate... Artistic...
