Mom, What Can I Say?

Thu, 02/01/2018 - 18:42 -- RavenCj

Dear mom,

What can I do? Now that the demon some called internal poisoning,

Took you,

Threw you,

And rotted your innards away,

What can I say?

While your sleeping, the world is weeping

Sneaking and sweeping,

And this country is complaining.

And all I’m saying….

is why?

Why try to move forward, when all jumps back?

What’s the point of pointing out flaws, when we all have something we lack?

Why are we so ruthlessly selfish and inconsiderate?

So unhinged and misguided- I’m sick of hearing it.

But you taught me to be optimistic…

Yeah, that sounds realistic.

Did you know your dog just had puppies?

It’s three of them in different shades- they are so fluffy.

Did you acknowledge your mother recently?

Or the other’s lack of common decency?

How about my sister, your prize and joy,

who trades discipline and manners for an unnecessary toy.

But what can I say?

We’re all a perpetual mess.

And not a day I don’t wake up to more inflicted stress.

Thank God for my friends;

Of which my loyalty will hopefully, not come to an end.

What can I suggest?

A distraction from your reaction?

I see…

A permit . More friends. Less pettiness.

An opportunity. Actually a few more, I digress.

These things are the bundles to come.

So I’ll talk to you later mom,

Wherever you are, above the sun.
