Moments Made

There are so many moments

  In ones life

   Where
One can blink
A billion breaths
Vanishing
Like the day after
  Yesterday.

  Waking up
To see the face
Of an alarm clock
Vying for your attention
As you realize
Quite suddenly
Your almost
Thirty minutes late.
(Proving that dreams go on wizard time)

Everyday
A small step
Forward,
Always an improvement
Even if it goes
Unnoticed
Like so much love
In this world.
It's just we get lost
In the alarm clocks
The cell phone jingles
And the time spent in traffic
Smelling exhaust fumes
And somewhere a clutch
Burning out.

I hope at that point
I'll be looking at the back
Of beauty

Combing a ocean
Of gilded hair
As she smiles
Sweetly into her reflection
That's looking back
At me on the bed,
Perfectly
Confused about how it is
That I became so lucky
Over a billion breaths
  In a single
    Blink.
