A Moment's Wait

Location

Not now I'm afraid
As patient as you exist
Not only in this moment or hour the same but a lifetime of wait awaits.
My mind found folly and fatigue but lacked the fervor.
Belated I be if time were of less consequence I'd truly be fit for this world.
Less sulkily my words would spill fourth.
My foes less noticed would savor less of dross.
If only I saw more clearly, more often on time, I’d be less compelled to tamper with woes and worries of passing time in question. In constant revolution, my mind unravels, seeking a currency and chance at a truancy less squelching.
Plodding or plotting one might confuse as my gaze looks onward into a similar reflection.

Me

Comments

Emily Todd

This poem is about my tendancy to over think everything, analyze, scrutinize, and above all, take an abundance of time to achive the smallest and simplest of tasks. This poem also credits those unfortunate enough to have to constantly wait on me.
