Mommy please, you can't take anymore from me

One, two, three, four
How many pills does mommy take till she falls to the floor.
I don't think her body can take much more.
Five, six, seven, eight
Mommy won't see me graduate
It hurts to hate all her mistakes.
Mommy why did you lose all faith
Was I not enough to make you want to stay.
I've watched you're heart break,
And your hope fade.
I can't help but to take the blame.
Nine, ten
Please don't do this again
This can't be your end
All this pain you cause is turning into a trend
I just want it to end,
or at least pretend this isn't the end.
Eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen
Mommy won't wake up this morning.
I think she's lost all of herself.
Or maybe she left it on the medicine shelf,
behind the help.
Mommy why won't you just get some help.
Fifteen, sixteen, seventeen
I haven't see mommy since I was sixteen, I'm one step away from graduating.
I wasn't enough to fix her disease.
She took my childhood away from me.
Yet she's the reason I want to succeed.
I'm going to get my PhD in psychology
Be the first Doctor this family's seen.
Maybe then I'll learn how to breathe, with out my lungs suficating me.
Statistics say I'm destined to follow her lead. I strongly disagree.
I've met that demon in me, we've both agreed it's not the paths for me.
I'm stronger than she'll ever be.
I'm a couple months from eighteen,
I'm living inbetween the streets.
But I won't let that stop the passion in me to fulfill my dreams.
I'll work determinedly to get my degree.
Mommy can't take that from me.
