Monarch of Truth

It’s okay to be alone

Often you find what’s to your core

Slow down and let silence envelope

The person you were told to be when born

Words fed to you in a steady stream

Mostly wisdom consumed at youth

Other times critique, meant to self demean

It’s time to discover your own truth

Search for it when you feel most blue

What your heart seeks you shall receive

Uncover you in the moments that feel most true

Only then my love can you be free

I see you and the hurt you’ve gone through

I hear your silent cries

Curled up in your makeshift cocoon

If only you’d trust the majesties of life

Soon with time you will open your eyes

And see your beauty that beams

The lonesome darkness was essential

For you to grow magnificent wings
