Money

Money

Thousands in student debt awaiting me

Inflation raising the price of life

Anger and hatred rising out of the ash of cash.

Not enough jobs,

Too many old leeches giving speeches

Denouncing decades of progress,

A Social Security mess.

Income inequality on the rise,

As politicians fail to supervise.

Trillions hidden overseas,

As American citizens fall to their knees,

To worship the great war machine.

Billions spent on electing officials,

Too many counts of neglecting vets,

Wall Street bankers taking bets.

Antitrust laws I cannot trust,

As monopolies form,

Putting down others has become the norm.

Fascists marching in the streets,

A bunch of polarizing deadbeats,

White power or white privilege they preach.

Those calling for the incarceration of flag burners,

Haven’t you learned?

Texas v. Johnson ruled suppression of speech overturned.

The transfer of jobs over the ocean,

How do we tell our men about their demotion?

Stagnation is procrastination,

Leaving the next generation to thieving.

Crimes committed by Police,

War is Peace.

Elimination of opposition, politicians find savory,

Freedom is Slavery.

For misinformation, media goes at great lengths,

Ignorance is Strength.

Unregulated contribution has led to American dream execution.

Citizens United, it was violence they incited.

Money, so they say,

Is the root of all evil today.
