Monster
She screamed as terror ripped through her chest,
shreds of skin hanging by tendons
and blood seeping through.
As a physical being,
it stood before her,
panting,
smirking,
mocking her pain.
With a sinister smile,
it showed her the depths of her soul;
what no one should ever see.
Inside, there lies a broken child
feigning a brave facade.
The soul gasps out for help,
reaching for comfort.
But she cannot save her,
her soul is one of nightmares.
