Moon

The moon keeps no secrets,

No qualms,

No grudges.

It’s filled with only blues

And calms

And oil pastel smudges.

But the moon is my secret.

The moon is what widens my pupils,

Slacks my jaw,

And I can’t help but stare in awe

Because the moon is what makes me feel human.

It’s what makes me want to kiss a pair of lips

And travel with my fingertips,

It makes me want to get in a car and drive,

Enjoy the ride,

Because the moon is what makes me feel alive.

Me
