Morning motivation

Sun, 09/25/2016 - 20:44 -- M.luke

The early morning sun rises

So does the sound of my alarm clock

I sit up with a frown

And put on my gown

Before I can complain

About my morning in disdain

I think of the breakfast

That eagerly awaits me in the kitchen

Rushing excitedly to the kitchen

My stomach growling in excitement

The smell of coffee and pancakes fills the air

With positivity and motivation for the day ahead

With the taste of the sticky syrup melting in my mouth

And the caffeine from the coffee waking me up

I have never felt so motivated

To get on with my day
