A Mother's Struggle

SLEEP COMPLETELY CHALLENGING MY EVERY EFFORT TO STAY AWAKE-

I OPEN MY EYES TO REALIZE-

SLEEP SWIFTLY CREPT IN ON ME LEAVING ME PARALYZED -

HYPNOTIZED-

DON’T CRITICIZE-

I LOST THE FIGHT TO KEEP MY BABY INSIGHT-

IT DOSE NOT FEEL RIGHT -

TO FALL ASLEEP IN THE MIDDLE -

OF FEEDING MY BABY THIS SKITTLE-

THE WHINING SOUND OF MY CHILD BRINGS ME BACK FROM MY SLUMBER-

QUITE BROKEN, BEAT, AND DEFEATED-

I AM A FUCKING DISGRACE-

SHAME AND REMORSE ALL IN MY FACE-

PATHETIC EXCUSE FOR A MOTHER -

BACK TO THE WALL -

LORD HEAR MY CALL-

I’M DOWN ON THE GROUND HITTING PAVEMENT-

LIFT THIS EVIL ENSLAVEMENT-

LORD CURE MY ALIMENT-
