Ms. Lady Bug

Location

Sat down and stared at the mesmerizing sky,
Didn't expect to find a friend
I can't even lie
Peace was all we yearned.

Her dazzling crimson wings,
Perfectly reflected the yellow star's beaming rays.
And her eight imperfect black dots
Only showed one thing,
Her desire to fly away
No matter if it meant to be spot.

She clutched her four petite feet
Around the smooth green strand of grass
And without a cry looked at her past
Wind rushed through her arc like wings
And told her it was time to commence her fleet
It was as clear as glass
It was time at last

She raised her small white dotted head
Looked at the multicolored horizon
And her wings spread.
