Music of the Earth - Sonnet

Tis the music that has set my soul free,

Like an Eagle, leaving the nest at last.

Cans't thou hear? The roaring sound of sea?

Cans't though hear? The rushing of winds, steadfast?

Music is all around us, everywhere,

The sounds of earth are music to thy ears.

Like a musician, playing with great care,

The right harmonies wash away thy fears.

Nature thy band, God thy director,

every sound is unique, with a purpose.

Thy ears crave sound, as a bee craves nectar,

I need music, for it is thy compass,

music is more than instruments and voice,

music is part of me; it makes me rejoice!
