Music of poetry

The sphynx taught me, from its prideful legs,

I came into daylight on four legs

I walk through the evening on two legs

I will fall into the night on three legs

On four legs, I crawl, Curious about all

Many worry about one so small

To avoid a dangerous curiosity test,

I would be laid to rest.

Poetry flowed through my ear,

 To my heart

The music of poetry makes everything clear

Mary’s lamb became an art

As I walk on two legs

There’s a question that begs

The music in me has evolved,

But has the “new” horrors I have discovered been resolved

The color of my skin dictates my future

The beat of my heart, my music, my poetry; fills my valor

Without the beat, reality will smother and torture

Without the heart, without the brain, without the courage: peace is improbable

I hope from my three legs, I will have inner peace

I will travel to Greece

Calliope and Apollo will guide my pencil over the paper

The music of my life is what I will favor

I will learn from the fates

Colors will be colors and not people

Love will be love and fair equality is clear and never waits

Maybe the world will not be so lethal

Expression of emotions is poetry

Exposures of truth is poetry

Music is poetry

The heart is poetry

This poem is about:
Me
Our world
