My Books, My Words & Things

My things

Leapt off their shelves

To be there for me

When I met you,

For they knew I’d never be the same.

My books

Changed their heroes’ names

To yours

So that I could be closer to you

For they knew I would never be the same.

My words

Wrapped my mind

In love

And made it so I could not sleep

For they knew I would never be the same.

For I would never, never, never be the same.
