My Christmas Joy

Location

The skies are dark and purple,

Orange and red, then blue,

And every coming day

Is like a dream come true.

The air is blithe and light,

The mood is naught but cheer-

But there is more a reason

Than Christmas being near.

Yes, the snow floats gently down,

And ornaments are everywhere,

Yes, lights fill the world;

But with you all this I share.

You are the light that fills my world,

You adorned my life.

And as this joy floats over me,

Away flits all my strife.

Soon some days will come

That we apart will be,

But know each day I love you,

We will rejoin, you and me.
