To My Dear Broken Family

To My Dear Broken Family,

Dear Working Class,
Broken Family of America
Do not wither in a storm
This too shall pass!

Dear Former Employee,
Broken Citizen of America
Do not be discouraged
You are a priceless breed, a gem!

Dear Exhausted Student,
Broken Learner of America
Do not seek growth in knowledge
Seek spiritual transcendence!

Dear Past Lover,
Broken Heart of America
You are the voice for another
Strengthen yourself in tighter armor!

Dear Unacknowledged Father,
Broken Structure of America
Paternal instincts have emotion
Do not be afraid to show them!

Dear Angry Brother,
Broken Son of America
You can give only what you sow
Be the light in a room full of crows!

Dear Patient Sister,
Broken Faith of America
Believe in yourself first
The only God lies inside of your fist!

My Dear Laborious Mother,
Broken Treasure of America
Your value is insurmountable
Soar above the horizons!

Like a bird from the nest,
we will fly beyond our homes
under
a tree, a bird will sit perched, and ponder
where
to flap its wings

When the sun sets (and the system decays)
We will return; more swifter than an Avalanche
This is the definition of Family.

Lost souls of the streets
The Unknown American
Homeless and Forgotten
You are the most broken
Yet militant nation
A home fails to protect you
(I wonder of what cruelty, you have witnessed)

Blame the system gone wrong and decayed
not the unheard, Dear Broken Families of America.

This poem is about:
Me
My family
My community
My country
Our world
