My Delight

I delight in an autumn breeze,
In soft jazz pouring out of a radio,
In hot chocolate and my favorite book.

I delight in t-shrits and boyfriend jeans,
In no make-up days and ponytails,
In staying up late and sleeping in.

I delight in going on adventures,
In finding new hangouts and hideouts,
In meeting strangers whom I may never meet again.

I delight in taking cross-country road trips,
In traversing less-taken roads and paths,
In exploring the outdoors.

I delight in living to the fullest,
In refusing to give up or give in,
In joyfully walking the never-ending journey of life.
