My family tree

Falling to the ground
The branches of my family tree

Once we were so strong
protected by our leaves

We have survived many storms
Our great roots firmly in the ground

Now, as the mighty wind blows
we are scattered all around

Our tiny pollen grows
To show that we did exist

New branches stretch across the earth
To experience life in bliss

As more branches fall to the ground
I fear my time is growing near

How many more storms can I endure
Before my roots completely disappear
