My Favorite Goodbye

(Verse One)
You set my heart burning up in flames .
You just drive me insane.
You'll never understand how this was never love,
that I was feeling.
It was just something to hide the pain.
And put a smile up on my face.
Just to make you,
my next goodbye.

(Verse two)
I wanted to see how far I could get you.
Wanted to lead you on.
Just to see you,
break and fall.
But now that I got you hooked,
Just can't shake you off.

(Chous)
You were something of the moment.
Something of the past.
Something that I had,
That was starting to hold me back.
So I had to let go.
And then you started wanting me back.
But you were nothing to me,
except my favorite goodbye.

(Verse three)
You started to tell me,
that one day
There will be a you and me,
But how could that ever be
When I brought you to tears.
So many times before.

(Verse four)
You tried changing my mind.
One too many times.
Saying how much you gave up.
Just so you could have me.
But I gotta let you see
You were the best thing that I ever left.
The best thing that I walked past.

(Chous)
You were something of the moment.
Something of the past.
Something that I had,
That was starting to hold me back.
So I had to let go.
And then you started wanting me back.
But you were nothing to me,
except my favorite goodbye.

(ending)
I left you one too many times.
And somehow
You say it's still love
That you're feeling deep down.
It's the,
best feeling, that you ever had.
And I'm some perfect angle
That was sent from above
Well I'm not here to stay.
Cuz you fall inlove too easily.
And you just never give up
You never let them go
Well I'm here
To become some bitter bitch
Give you a taste
of some reality.
And break another heart.

Well,
I've said goodbye
One too many times
But you were my favorite.
And,
I've broken
One to many hearts.
But yours was the best.
To get messed with
So grow up
And learn to say goodbye
Back to me.
