My First Love

Thu, 04/27/2017 - 22:13 -- 1SP

In such perfect recollection,
I remember when I met you;
The choir was doing a selection,
The moment my heart first had too.

Tune of the piano was pretty slow,
But I heard your voice from rear pew,
And it was you and I a while ago,
Because being with you was all I knew.

You were my very first love,
It overwhelms me to see you;
Angels sent you from above,
And I promised to not leave you.

You are still my first love...

You had that nice long hair,
And you still have piercing eyes
That see my soul and make me stare,
As amazing as you look, I apologized.

I anticipated service with my folk,
Every time so I could please the Father,
And we would become equally yoked,
Just like vases molded by the same Potter.

You were my very first love,
It overwhelms me to see you;
Angels sent you from above,
And I promised to not leave you.

Jesus is still my first love.
