My Forlorn Love
My sandwich,
My sweet, sweet bread,
Container for my love,
Bringer of beauty,
Salvation of the hungry,
Angel to the eyes of mortals,
God to the eyes of angels,
Bringer of beauty,
That which I loved,
Snatched from my hands by violence,
A glory ripped from my jaws,
A taste never to be retrieved,
A vengeance claimed,
But a remorseful sorrow,
Gone you were, long lost,
A regret nestled,
A purpose in life
To regain my love
My sweet, sweet bread,
To recover your beauty,
The lengths I'd travel,
The souls I'd give,
Simply to consume
My sandwich.
