My Happiness

My happiness is the way the sunlight glinted off his skin that morning
The green flecks in his deep blue eyes.
The way he timidly brushes his fingers against my hand while were in public.
The way his kiss tells me not to go,
And his blonde buzzed hair.
My happiness is the words whispered in a sunflower field off the side of the highway
and a tearful goodbye.
It's my solider coming home with a ring in his pocket and forever in his eyes.
