In my Head

In my head I hear voices,

echoes that contain words of poison.

Are they talking about me?

Put on a smile and don't look so mean,

Everyone is looking at you,

none the less, their judging you.

I wear a mask to hide what I don't want to be..

The woman who shows no excitement,

for she is hearing the frightening words

the words she implements in her own mind,

she wears a mask to kill the time,

the time of feeling unwanted.
