My kitten and my star

Location

She's my kitten and my star

my ruby and my tea

I say this because, no matter what she does

I will love her as she loves me

I still remember the day we met

she was sprayed by the sprinklers

and her hair was wet

With a book in her hand

and her hand to the sky

She said to me, with her head held high

"Do not be sad, you shouldn't cry

I say these things, without a lie

I think you're cool without any words

Because you speak your mind

even though you're not heard."

Not tomorrow or after that

will I shed another tear

Because I have her with me

Right now and right here

She was once young and braver

And my grammar may still lack

And down the road, people face their fears

But I never want her to look back

Except on that day

When she gave me her tea

When my voice had a lock

But she gave me her key

And now it is time to return it

"Do not be sad, you shouldn't cry

I say these things, without a lie

I think you're cool without any words

Because you speak your mind

even though you're not heard."

And believe these signs

I am an angel's mirror

When hope is swimming

I will find her a river

Because she will always be my kitten

she will always be my star

and I will always be hers

Whether near and far
