I am from a line drawn back to Indians and farmers.
To civil war soldiers and miners,
to Stonewall Jackson's private cook, from freedom rings
to church bell dings, of a bishop's call to a child's tears.
I am from a perfect world where chaos rule beyond,
freedom rules where chaos doesn't.
I am from a group of explorers outside this world.
I am from fertile grounds that are broken
and farmers work together to keep it together.
I am from a place where shadow and light are king and queen.
The shadows protect the secrets of ancient pasts.
The light bears the burden of holding angels up on high.
Church bells ring where the forsaken are sought.
Those owned by dark friends
and their masters run for dear life.
I am from a place where people have ideas
that lead to our destruction.
I am from a barrier so strong,
the strongest bull could not touch its glistening glass.
I am from a place of want, wanted ideas and tastes.
I am from a place of enemies and heroes,
A place where super villains are super powers.
I am from a place where women rule the hands and eyes;
at every stare, there is a place of hiding.
I am from a place in front of the fire,
in a separate world of my mind.
I am from a frame of mind where everything I know
has to be this way or that.
