My life through poetry

The snow glistened in the beauty of the morning

The day was filled with joy and new beginnings

A small girl with long brown hair sits outside of the courtroom

She was ready to start over

Her life had been an influx of chaos

She was tired and ready to ready to rest in the safety of a new home

She feels the pain and reality of rejection

She that life from now on will be a struggle and will not always be easy

Two adults stood in the courtroom, wearing their hearts on their sleeves

They both have not had the easiest life

They had a son with special needs and they had another daughter

Yet they were willing to take this random little girl into their life

Little did they know that the package that they were about to receive was broken

Outside was a healthy 7 year old little girl on the inside was still the abuse and neglect of her past that tear  her  to pieces

The first year was easy they showered her in gifts and other materialistic possessions

Inside there was a contorted mess

She was withholding food in her bedroom

She thought they that they were going to hurt here

Year after years she grew up and soon became a teenager

She started caking on makeup and straightening her hair

She became more difficult to perceive

She starts to camouflage and become a new person

She is no longer the sweet little girl waiting outside the courtroom

She was stubborn and became so troubled that they could no longer deal with her so they sent her away to boarding school

She thrived there and loved it she got taken out and went back home

She rehearsed all the lines and knew all the answers

At first life was great she did well in school and did as she was told

Little did they know that she was struggling harder than ever she had an eating disorder

She had the lowest self confidence

She got sent away again

She was sent to a small town in Colorado

At first she hated it but, then she met friends and she found a home their

She moved to a different school where she was welcomed with opened arms the school was like a family
