My Mentor's Vision

My mentor's vision
Is far broader than mine
When he sees Potential- I see Wreckage
Like the aftermath of Hurricane Floyd in 1999

He takes on his mission with Vigor
With no indication of being spent
I take on mine- and at times
My mission I repent

However my mentor empathizes
With my desire for ease
And he encourages me
To persevere
Through the stormy seas

Though my vision- my perception
Are dystopian like <<1984>>
I follow my mentor's vision
And wage my human revolution more and more

My mentor's time may be nearing
But his mission is the same
Kosen Rufu- Widespread propagation
That also is my aim

This poem is about:
Me
