I came with one purpose......to expand my education in math and science,

I only meant to get good grades and pass my classes,

The first day I knew no one,

My comfort level was significantly low....and I was alone,

As the days went by.....I saw people's true colors,

I see the happiness and welcoming faces of friendly teenagers,

With opening hearts, I was invited into their circle,

I begin to make connections with strangers I was forced to live with,

I didn't mean to make any friends,

I didn't mean to make a new FAMILY,

This was my new home,

A FAMILY that cared, loved, and respected me,

A FAMILY that made me smile everyday and want to wake up in the morning,

A FAMILY I soon had to leave behind and never revisit, 

The unforgettable memories shared between each individual will be cherished,
