My Name Is: Stop The Stigmas

Sun, 03/04/2018 - 00:30 -- Arlea

MY NAME IS: OCD

walk it wrong and they will die,

wait until it's safe to cry.

draw the crimson from your arm,

maybe they'll stay safe from harm.

MY NAME IS: HOMELESSNESS

patience find and patience keep,

shiver as the cold bites deep.

empty gut for company;

come hate the sight and smell of me!

MY NAME IS: DRUG ABUSE

have a baby, have a smoke

change a nappy, shoot some dope

with child again, and just sixteen.

one father ran, the other's mean

MY NAME IS: SUICIDE

balance on your tippy toes,

steady by the water goes.

empty space stretch wide and deep;

hit the bottom, go to sleep

MY NAME IS: STIGMA

clench your teeth, swallow the words.

keep us quiet, hide us well.

nod while they fake ignorance,

don't ask for help, don't ever tell.
