My Pick-Me-Up

My alarm is ringing,

I hit the snooze.

My mom is calling,

why won't she stop?

I drag myself from bed,

what to wear today?

I think of the tests with dread,

let me pass, I pray.

I rush to leave,

can't be tardy to class.

I slip by cars with a weave,

my friends greet me out front with sass.
