My Tell-Tale Heart

Fri, 07/13/2018 - 14:04 -- Tired

The waves look peaceful

       [Crash, Boom, Splash];

My hand is finally empty

All golden grains have fallen

And I am truly lost at what I should do.

//It sounded like a soft crunch

A dreamer walked up to me and spoke.

I have left her long ago    By the white road.

He asked of my purpose

For walking through the unreal city.

Him||Her

I told him simply, to leave me be

For she would never understand.

Understand what?

The lack of purpose.

She could only give, he could never sink to compassion.

Like that she was known to be above, he didn’t take no;

He didn’t leave did he? You know she’s there to help?

I did not want his help, I was fine wandering.

The dreamer walked off.

Her grains were different from mine.

The ocean grew silent, i was alone

Under the sand i began to hear a beating heart

<!---Mine?--->

I knew it would be impossible to get

I placed that sand there

Only i knew how deep it went.

/* It couldn’t be */

My heart was here

You placed an imposter down there.

You made a heart and told it what it needed.

Then you told me it was mine

#no longer

You are like a summer’s day

Your rays scorch mine earth

And I’m afraid of when it will end.

For as long as I can breathe

So long lives thee

So long lives the beating

So long I stay asleep doubly

So long he burdens my walk

So long

   So long

        So long
