Never ending

Feels like a suffocating nightmare

Your heart constantly pounding as though it will burst out of your skin

Your eyes filled with tears

Your lips quivering

Your body so tense it aches as much as your soul

The realization that the man you’ve chosen to love, never chose to love you too

Life as you know it will never be the same

Every step you take, feels like you’re about to collapse

Your mind racing trying to figure out how we got to this point

No will to continue but you force yourself for the kids

The every day chore becomes unbearable

You wish you could just....

Just for a minute....

Stop the crying

Pause the emotions

Fast forward the heartbreak

Play the new beginnings...

And then it starts all over

Feels like a suffocating nightmare

This poem is about:
Me
