A new wish

Shrouded in fear and anxiety she walks through life hoping to be unnoticed.

Head down....walking without feeling....not to be heard.

Hoping that someday, somehow, she'll be... okay.

Not happy, but okay.

3...2...1

The begins again shedding its old damaged skin to begin again, anew.

A new hope for the future has appeared with this new number.

And finally she walks, maybe not sure of the next step and if that step will cause her to stumble down a pit of sadness.

But she does walk with a little more reasurance that she did with the previous year.

Instead of looking down or up

She looks towards the future with a different wish

And this might seem a little presumptous but:

Not to just be okay, but to be honestly and truly happy.
