No Destiny

The author of the universe wrote the script.

He took a boy and a girl, and made them soulmates.

They met, but never fell in love.

He took an aspiring youth, and created him to be a quarterback.

The youth never picked up a football.

He ensured that a prodigal son would bring about world peace.

War persists.

The author of the universe wept at his script.

The couple meant to be together, is not together.

The kid born to be a quarterback, is an average joe.

The messiah, is nowhere to be seen.

The author of the universe tossed away his script.

For it was humanity's destiny to explore the stars. Humanity lays on the Earth.

For it was humanity's destiny to protect the Earth. The enviroment lays awaste.

The author of the universe resigned his defeated script.

Defeated.

By man.

The author of the universe has given up.

The author of the universe no longer exists.
