No Filter

Location

The dimples behind my smile

That could brighten the darkest of days

And make the angels sing.

A filter?

For my beauty does not need it

I appreciate each and every flaw

Like the cherry blossoms in April

My beauty is a sight to see.

What's my beauty without sound?

Like the ocean's currents on a warm sunny day

As each season changes my moods and emotions.

No filter can ever define me

Or make me feel better about myself

Because at the end of the day

I'm still beautiful.

You can not hide behind filters for long

Accept your flaws and you can't go wrong.

I'm off to start this lifelong journey through life

Each and everyday

I'm learning more and more about myself

And who I am.

You just have to be yourself

Even though it's hard while being in a world surrounded by filters

Just don't let the world filter you

And tell you who you are.
