No Longer Alone

No filter on my face,

Nothing taking my place,

Only my thoughts

Of love gained and love lost

Over years of hard work and no play

After that awful, fateful day

Where they told me my life would change

But I never realized how much

Til I was left alone to fend for myself

When I had nowhere to stay for a night

And I had to find some type of light

In this life I've grown used to being dark

Over the years I've given out my heart

Too many times to the point of breaking,

But, finally, I think I've found someone who's not faking.

So when I'm alone with no filter,

I'm quietly filtering through thoughts of no longer

Being alone.
