No Voice; Only Cruelty

The soft whimpers,

Shy howls,

And fragile meows

Carry into the ears of the cruel abusers

They pass the point of humanity

To enter the world of cruelty

There is no going back

They know the punishment is worth

The violence

Lives of living breathing animals

Are risked

No one seems to care

While they suffer daily

With no voice

No answers to their survival

Humans get their savior

But where are theirs

All their abusers get is a slap on the wrist

There is no death penalty

Only a fine

And maybe some jail time

Not enough to change the abusers views

There will never be a stop to this

No safe house for animals

Where is the prevention?

Yet no matter how much damage is done

Those helpless animals still love

Still care

And never stop

Only fear to lose their owner

These sweet furry friends

Do not have a chance with out us.
