#nofilter Fading Past it

Sometimes I find I'm lost for words
Sometimes I lie and the truth it hurts
Sometimes I cry and i fall to earth
Falling too deep, my feet in the dirt
Sometimes the tears, they mask the pain
Sometimes I fear that the past will fade
Sometimes my mind is clear as rain
and I find that at times I forget your face

So I take the past and i hold it
Gripped in my palms to control it
Every bit of emotion evoked in a moment
Obsessive compulsive for what I want most
and I've chosen to hold to a ghost like its there
Then realize I'm staring at air
Only part of you left are you pieces of hair
and the tears that you wept with your face in the chair.
