Nostalgia

Reminiscing to learn from the past,
to live in nostalgia, it doesn't last.

The world's a stage, you're a part of the cast,
they say have patience, but the world is so fast,
to live in nostalgia, it doesn't last.

Days of old that no longer fit the mold
you haven't been told, but your world has been sold,
to reach for the past, you can't get a hold.

A world of plastic, traded for a world of gold,
hearts once filled with love have seemed to grow cold,
to reach for the past, you can't get a hold.

Elegant horse drawn carriages replaced by clandestine machines,
we race ever quicker, get ever sicker, as users turn into fiends,
to be born without ambition, we must stick to our dreams.
