Not Another Number

I am a reader, a thinker, a doer.

I can love and lose and heal.

Though my dreams are grandeur.

Teachers want me to fit their ideal.

I can count and I can add.

My English skills are elite

but, never had I been so mad

as when called a score on a sheet.

I really thought I had

finally made an impression.

Then never had I been so sad

as when called a scored on a sheet.
