Not Lemons, But Two Left Feet

Life gave me you,

Life gave me this moment,

Life gave me two left feet,

this sunset,

and it is only the beginning.

We slow danced at the foot of the big Oak Tree

never to the beat,

and always stumbling on each other's feet,

but I wouldn't want it any different

and somehow we watched as daylight was leaving us,

continuing to dance,

giving the earth beneath our feet more life,

as they swayed to the way love songs went

and it was perfect.

Thank you Life,

you are perfect.
