nothing.

They call me names

They spit on me

They glare in disgust

They say I am nothing

But aren't I something

I am a surface

That can be spat upon

Something they can see

And choose to hate

Something they can laugh at

I am a target

Something that is heard

But unacknowledged

If I am nothing

How and why do you see me?

If I am nothing

How and why do you hear me?

If I am nothing

How and why are you talking to me?

If I am nothing, If I am nothing

If I am nothing

Then what are you to me?
